Artist Statement:
“My art embodies an all-at-once taking in of the world. It is about being in a state heightened awareness, like in the midst of a crowd surrounded by sounds, light, colors, smells, and patterns as bodies move through space. My acrylic paintings capture fleeting images of landscapes, gardens, and highways, translating initial impressions of my everyday environment into simple scenes that are antidotes to the cacophony of everyday experience.”
